What's New For the 2021 Cadillac CT5 & CT5-V?

In the 2021 Cadillac CT5/CT5-V, Cadillac welcomes a new infotainment system to the mix that includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In the 2021 model, you can upgrade to the optional 12-inch diagonal instrument cluster. You also get two new colors: The Rift Metallic and Infrared Tintcoat.

What Are the CT5 and CT5-V Trims & Features?

You can choose from three trims with the 2021 Cadillac CT5: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. The CT5-V is a standalone trim.  No matter what trim you select, you can get an all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. The first trim in the CT5 series is called the Luxury. As the name implies, the Luxury comes with many high-end amenities. It has a modern and sophisticated exterior shaped by 18-inch alloy wheels. Its interior includes push-button start, a power-adjustable driver's seat with 12-way mobility, and dual-zone climate control.

The technology on the Luxury trim includes Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Wi-Fi. A 10-inch infotainment display screen comes standard, and remote Bluetooth pairing is also included. The Premium Luxury comes with additional safety technology and more wireless charging. The Sport trim a custom spoiler and Brembo brakes. The high-performance CT5-V has a larger infotainment display screen and a more powerful engine.

What's Under the Hood of the Cadillac CT5 and CT5-V?

Nothing wrong with a glance under the hood of the 2021 Cadillac CT5/CT5-V. You get a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 LGY, which generates up to 360 horsepower; this is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission shift with ease. The engine for the CT5-V is a variation of the V6 for the Premium Luxury and Sport trims but is tuned to produce up to 355 HP.

Technologies to Keep You Safe

You can choose from an invaluable package of driver-assistance technologies. GM has a Super Cruise Level 2 autonomous driving feature. The feature manages everything from braking to acceleration to steering. You don't need to keep your hands on the wheel, but you should keep your eyes on the road. The technology hasn't advanced enough to offer full autonomy.

Some of the other essential safety features include adaptive cruise control, standard automated emergency braking, and lane departure warning system.
