General Motors is proud to debut an innovative technology that will soon arrive in a broad selection of electric vehicles, including those offered by Cadillac. Because Gemini is compatible with GM's infotainment platform, it serves as a natural addition to Cadillac's electric lineup. Gemini also operates alongside OnStar®, enhancing vehicle safety systems while delivering expanded access to onboard technology. Owners of eligible Cadillac EVs will experience several impactful updates with Gemini technology. A primary advantage of Gemini is its ability to comprehend natural speech without constraining drivers to rigid, pre-set commands. Cadillac EV drivers can engage in fluid conversations with Gemini and issue complex requests, such as asking for personalized music playlists tailored to their current mood. Additionally, drivers can query Gemini about various topics while traveling, discovering new information through artificial intelligence.
Improved Text Communications
A key feature of this technology is the ability for Cadillac EV owners to send and receive text messages safely through Gemini without taking their hands off the steering wheel or their eyes off the roadway. Drivers can instruct Gemini to read incoming messages aloud or provide concise summaries before responding. Without picking up a smartphone, you can compose, edit, or translate text messages into different languages. Gemini even permits adding emojis to messages for added emphasis.
Entertainment on the Road
Whether you are waiting at a charging station, navigating slow traffic, or taking a quick break along your route, Gemini offers extensive entertainment options directly from the driver's seat. The system coordinates with onboard applications, including Audible, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Spotify, HBO Max, YouTube, and more. Cadillac EV owners can prompt Gemini to curate a driving playlist, stream a television show or movie while parked, or play an engaging podcast.
