2023 Cadillac XT4 vs 2023 Cadillac XT5

Cadillac is known as one of America's original luxury brands. In the past few years, they've devoted much of their engineering to crafting some of the most elegant family SUVs. The Cadillac XT4 and XT5 are both important models in Cadillac's lineup. The XT4 is a single-engine small SUV, and the XT5 is a compact SUV.

Performance

The XT4 performance is straightforward with its 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Thanks to the XT4's 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, you get thrilling and even performance throughout the trim lineup. Both models feature a 9-speed automatic transmission. Choosing the 2023 Cadillac XT5 means getting two total engine choices. The model's standard 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder is rated at 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The difference comes with the second engine choice on the XT5. Cadillac's chosen 3.6L V6 is rated at 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque.

Appearance

Cadillac's XT4 and XT5 are highly polished and carefully thought out SUVs. The XT4 features slightly longer LED headlamps that sit higher on the side of the SUV. Cadillac's 2023 XT5 has a much shorter hood line and thinner LED headlamps. Its 18" multi-spoke alloy wheels with a bright silver finish are standard on the base model to start out the trim lineup. The XT4 gets standard 18" 10-spoke alloy wheels with a bright silver finish. Tinted windows are a part of both models' look, but you'll notice active aero shutters on the XT5.

Features

There are slight differences in the luxury interiors of the XT4 and XT5, but they'll make a big difference depending on the family buying their next SUV. The XT4's biggest sound system is a Bose Centerpoint surround sound system, and the XT5 gets a Bose premium system. Upholstery is distinct in both models, too. For example, the Premium Luxury trim of the 2023 XT5 comes with leather seating in colors like Jet Black, Cirrus, Sedona Sauvage, Maple Sugar, and Kona Brown. Mini-perforated inserts or perforated chevron inserts are available. The XT4 has Inteluxe seating in Jet Black with Cinnamon shades, something you won't find on the XT5.
