Specs at a Glance

The Cadillac Escalade is fully redesigned in 2021. This year's Escalade has more interior space, which is an impressive feat considering that the Escalade was also one of the largest and most spacious SUVs on the market. The Cadillac Escalade also adds some additional driver-assist aids across the board to be safer than ever. This variety of updates ushers in the fifth generation of the Cadillac Escalade that begins with the 2021 model year. Two exceptional trims you can get are the Luxury and the Sport. The Luxury is the base trim with a healthy list of amenities. The Sport is the top trim level with the works. Captain's chairs are standard on this trim level, which holds seven to eight people depending on your preferences.

The base and Sport trims share the same engine, but you can also get a diesel engine for either one. They are equipped with a 6.2L engine that has eight cylinders. The V8 produces 420 HP, and its peak torque production is 460 LB-FT. The standard drivetrain is rear-wheel drive on both trim levels, but you have the choice of getting a four-wheel drive for both as well. If you want a diesel engine, you can choose a V6 that produces 277 HP. The diesel engine can crank out a maximum of 460 LB-FT of torque to match the capabilities of the base engine. A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard on either engine.

Both Escalade trims have a commanding presence. The base trim has LED headlights and large 20-inch wheels. It also has a hands-free liftgate. The Sport gets all the works with chrome accents along its exterior and a glossy-black paint coating. The Sport trim also gets power-retractable side steps.

Starting with the aptly-named Luxury trim, you'll find that many features are included on the 2021 Escalade even at the base level. The Luxury gets heated seats in the first two rows. Its seats are made of a premium leather material. The infotainment system is a 16.9-inch screen, and you will get a separate 14.2-inch instrument cluster as well. Smartphone pairing is standard, and you will get wireless versions of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Sport has a sport-tuned suspension system and trailering technology to make towing safer. Interior features include a semi-automated driving system, a leather-wrapped instrument panel, and an entertainment system that extends to the back seat.
