Specs at a Glance

If you're in the market for a quality luxury vehicle this year, you can't go wrong with the Cadillac CT6 Luxury or the Cadillac CT6 Platinum. Like most consumers, however, you might be wondering what the difference is between the two vehicles, and why you might want to choose one over the other? Regardless of the trim you select, you'll be glad to know that this year, the CT6 has more standard features across the entire lineup than before. The mechanical options have been fine-tuned as well to deliver more precise power and performance. You'll find plenty of space for five occupants in both rows in the Luxury and Platinum CT6 models. A sporty handling system with engaging performance is another essential quality of the Luxury. And with all these features, you'd be surprised to learn that the 2020 CT6 offers a better value overall, even starting with the base trim.

Performance is the main area where the two trims differ. The base engine, which you'll get with the Luxury, is a 3.6L with six cylinders. This engine produces up to 335 HP and 285 LB-FT of torque. It is connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard on the base trim. The second engine, which is standard on the Platinum trim, is an upgraded 4.2L with eight cylinders. This powerful engine produces up to 500 HP and nearly 575 LB-FT of torque. It also has an automatic transmission.

On the outside, the 2020 CT6 has a notably striking and impressive exterior appearance. From the outside, the Luxury and the Platinum look primarily the same. The latest CT6 exudes a modern style and modern sensibilities with several features, including a bold, chrome-accented front grille, distinctive headlights, and side mirrors with an integrated turn signal. You have a choice of eight exquisite paint colors with the 2020 CT6, which can be paired with an equally impressive and eye-catching number of interior color options. At first glance, you can't help but notice the Cadillac's signature lamps, which have a unique bi-LED design. These headlights are also equipped with low-beam and high-beam projectors that improve visibility. The rear end features tail lights with an equally striking finish that also makes the Cadillac more visible from the back. A lightweight aluminum frame adds to the Cadillac's agility and maximizes its performance capabilities.

Inside, a wealth of features await for owners of the CT6. There are some minor variations in what you can expect with the Luxury and the Platinum. The Luxury comes well-equipped for a base trim one of the largest infotainment display screens in the vehicle's class at 10.2 inches. Smartphone integration, navigation, heated seats, and power-adjustable front seats are additional highlights. The base trim also includes a sunroof. On the technology front, the Luxury features a 4G WiFi hotspot and several safety features that include blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and automatic emergency braking. The Platinum adds a more comprehensive 34-speaker Bose sound system, higher-end seats, and an upgraded infotainment system.
