They recently released photos of their SOLLEI and Opulent Velocity concept cars, and there was immediate buzz online and off. Their efforts paid off in design awards from EyesOn.
Cadillac Wins Two EyesOn Design Awards
The 18th annual EyesOn Design Awards featured many big names, but none were bigger than Cadillac's Opulent Velocity and SOLLEI. The awards acknowledge "exceptional design in production and concept vehicles." EyesOn held its event in conjunction with the 2025 Detroit Auto Show.
Cadillac's Opulent Velocity concept vehicle won in the "Best Concept Vehicle Design" category. It's SOLLEI took home an award for "Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials." Each model has a standout signature. The Opulent Velocity's signature is innovative butterfly doors and what Cadillac calls a "multisensory" interior. SOLLEI is known for a hand-painted "Manila Cream" look that travels back to Cadillac's 1950s colors. The SOLLEI concept also features a Nappa leather interior with a unique pink iridescent finish.
For those who want a future right now, the Opulent Velocity is the more futuristic of the two concept cars. However, the SOLLEI is a beautiful blend of Cadillac's most iconic days with splashes of the future thrown in. If you're not ready to give up the past and want it to remain a part of your lifestyle, the SOLLEI will please you. Both models aspire to keep Cadillac's sustainability goals in mind, so you'll see environmentally conscious choices on both vehicles as they're produced. The EyesOn Awards focus on the design choices, though, and it's cheers all around from the crowd.
For now, Cadillac is counting its victories at the 18th EyesOn Awards. The visuals of their two concept cars will inspire and motivate competitors to keep up, but we expect to see Cadillac race further ahead of the pack in the years to come.
