The 2025 all-electric Cadillac ESCALADE IQ will take the world by storm. To celebrate the occasion and make sure it benefits a worthy cause, Cadillac has decided to auction the first retail production of this model (Vin 001). The Detroit Children's Fund will receive $550,000 from this important and historic auction.
Barrett-Jackson Waives Fees and Commissions
The first ESCALADE IQ went up for auction on October 12, 2024. Barrett-Jackson agreed to waive all commissions and fees associated with this auction so that the Detroit Children's Fund could get the total amount of the sale.
For people unfamiliar with the Detroit Children's Fund, it's a non-profit organization that helps the children of Detroit receive a high-quality education. GM President Mark Reuss chimed in on the enthusiasm for this important charity: "The education of its children is paramount to the stability and long-term health of any city, and we're thrilled that the sale of the first ESCALADE IQ will benefit the work the Detroit Children's Fund is doing in our hometown."
The DCF works with select schools around Detroit and plans to help thousands of students with the money it received from Cadillac's auction. The CEO of this non-profit expressed gratitude for Cadillac's generosity. "We are grateful to General Motors, Cadillac, and the winning bidder for their support of our mission," DCF CEO Nick Karmanos said. Cadillac supports many charities and participates in events like this often, but they have a special focus on helping make the world a better place for children.
The auction winner also has something to be thrilled about. The new ESCALADE IQ comes with a 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system, a 55-inch total diagonal pillar-to-pillar touchscreen display, and a standard Super Cruise. This is going to be the most advanced and luxurious ESCALADE in history and is well worth the price of admission.
