Cadillac is a luxury American automaker that stands out for producing some of the largest and most comfortable vehicles on the road. Cadillac also has high-performing cars that are fast and offer smooth ride quality. As with other automakers, Cadillac regularly introduces new features and technology to remain competitive in a crowded field. Here are some notable performance and technology highlights for Cadillac in 2024.
Cadillac Performance Features
In 2024, Cadillac has made adjustments to some of its performance features by model. The CT5-V is a sports sedan that now has a powerful twin-turbo V6 engine. This engine gives the sedan an impressive power output of 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. Powered by this engine, the CT5-V can go from 0-60 MPH in 4.6 seconds, and its top speed is a mighty 156 miles per hour. The sports sedan also has other performance-oriented enhancements, including Brembo performance brakes in front, a performance steering wheel, and paddle shifters. The CT5-V also has a performance traction management system, drive mode selector, and launch control.
The Blackwing, which is a CT5-V variant, also has some performance updates. The Blackwing has a supercharged V8 engine capable of 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. Two transmissions are available for the Blackwing: a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic. Brembo high-performance brakes are included in the front and rear. The Blackwing is just as comfortable as it is fun to drive with an adaptive suspension system. Like the CT5-V, the Blackwing also has launch control, performance traction management, and drive mode selector.
Another Cadillac sedan that receives performance updates is the CT4, which now has Brembo V performance brakes in the front. Alloy pedals are part of the CT4's upgrade package this year.
Cadillac Technology Features
Cadillac also has new technology features in 2024.
Connectivity updates for the XT4 and LYRIQ include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The LYRIQ also has a new dual-level charging cord to improve charging times. The LYRIQ now has a larger 33-inch display with a curved LED screen. Wireless phone charging is also now standard, and the LYRIQ gets a fixed-glass roof. A power-operated interior shade is available to cool and darken the cabin. The XT4 gets a head-up display this year with a full-color screen.
Many 2024 models also have Cadillac's Smart System of safety aids with parking assist, emergency braking, and alerts.
