Cadillac CT5

The largest sedan produced by Cadillac is the CT6. The CT6 was introduced in 2016, and it was produced through 2020. Cadillac made the CT6 a regular gasoline-powered sedan, along with a hybrid and sportier, more powerful version called the CT6-V that is a more performance-oriented variant with a more robust engine under its hood.

Performance and Handling

The Cadillac CT6 has a reputation on the auto market for being a powerful and sporty sedan. It is equipped with two engines as a regular model, including a 3.6L V6 engine and a more robust V8 engine. The base engine for the CT6 provides the Cadillac with a total of 335 HP in power, and it generates about 285 LB-FT in torque. All-wheel drive is the CT6's standard drivetrain, and it also has a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The second engine available for the CT6 is a V8. This engine, standard on the Platinum trim level, is called the Blackwing V8. It has a power output that reaches 500 HP, and its torque output is 574 LB-FT. The Cadillac CT6 also has a sportier variant called the CT6-V. This model has an upgraded Blackwing engine capable of 550 HP and nearly 630 LB-FT in torque. It also has a 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, but it has a more advanced all-wheel drive system designed for premium performance.

Luxury and Amenities

As to be expected from a luxury sedan, the CT6 received plenty of high-end amenities and features. The Cadillac's base-level amenities include a 10.2-inch touchscreen interface and an infotainment system with a rotary control for looks and easier function. Even at the base level, the Cadillac CT6 has an abundance of technology and helpful tools, including Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth. Four USB ports across the cabin enable convenient device charging on demand. For sound, Cadillac gave the base trim level a 34-speaker Bose sound system. Comfortable leather seats are another highlight of the Cadillac's interior.

Impressive Safety

With the Cadillac CT6 comes an impressive list of safety aids that includes cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and a following distance system that lets you know if you are getting too close to the car ahead. The 2020 CT6 had a standard safety package called the Driver Assist package with more amenities, including forward-collision avoidance, rear collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and a special night vision feature that offered improved visibility at night.
