While Cadillac has designed the vehicles in their lineup to be very convenient and comfortable for all drivers, the Cadillac Memory Seat function is a fan favorite. If you happen to be the only driver for your vehicle, then you probably haven't worried about using this function. If multiple drivers in your family are getting behind the wheel of your Cadillac, there is an excellent benefit to programming your seats to their previously set position when you get in your car the next time. The controls for this feature can vary from vehicle to vehicle, but in general, these are the steps you will need to take to program your memory seat function.
Using Your Seat Controls to Find Your Level of Comfort
Your seats are capable of moving in all kinds of directions. When you get into the driver's seat, use the up / down function as well as the forward/rearward controls. Your vehicle may also have adjustments available for thigh support, lumbar support, and reclining. Most models have the control buttons located on the side of the seat. There is also a lever that is located near the front of the vehicle on your seat. You can move it forward or backward to move the seat. You can pull up or push down to raise and lower the seat. There will be a button in the middle of the seat controls that lets you recline backward. Most thigh controls are underneath the seat.
How to Save Your Settings
Once you have gotten your seat exactly where you want it, you can save the seat position for the next time you get in. To keep your settings:
- Press down and release the 'SET' button that is located on the side of your door.
- Once you hear a single beep, press and hold down the #1 or #2 button. Your settings will be saved to that number.
- Two beeps mean that you can let go of the button because your settings have been saved.
While some technology can be a challenge to learn, the Cadillac memory seat function is incredibly easy to master. Once you save your settings, you will be able to get into your vehicle with ease each day. You press the respective number where you saved your settings. Your seat will adjust back to how you left it the last time you were in the vehicle. At this time, there is only the ability to save two different seat positions in your Cadillac.
